Learn about the three primary methods of sedation we provide.

Local Anesthesia

All dentistry patients receive local anesthesia as part of their sedation. We use very gentle injection techniques to ensure your mouth is completely numb before we begin any procedure.

Oral Anesthesia

In addition to local anesthesia, you may prefer light sedation for your procedure. We often prescribe an oral medication for our patients to take before the appointment. This medication can allow you to relax and fall asleep during the treatment.

Conscious Intravenous (IV) Sedation Dentistry

For the most extensive procedures or for the patients who experience significant anxiety during dental visits, we recommend conscious IV sedation. Doctor Krueger uses medications that help you relax throughout treatment. This type of sedation is extremely safe, and is a great option for patients with a busy schedule who need to have a number of procedures during one appointment.
